Visual comfort team up with RB Vision
The Sandman bed, recently launched by Visual Comfort is certainly a contender for the title of Ultimate TV Bed. Combining the luxury of a bespoke, hand made king size bed with a silent and smooth system capable of lifting a 40 inch screen out of the frame in seconds, it marks a very impressive debut for the company, who have plans for a whole range of AV augmented furniture.
Positioned at the luxury end of the sector, company founders Andrea and Andrew Montgomery are confident that the Sandman bed will appeal to style conscious individuals and the boutique hotel sector. The bed is supremely well made and gloriously comfortable. The addition of the AV dimension virtually transforms the Sandman into an intimate and relaxing home cinema. It reflects the trend for making bedrooms more than just places to sleep but venues for relaxation, and in particular, viewing movies and live TV.
The product is the result of a joint venture by the designers, Visual Comfort and our specialists at RB Vision have taken care of the screen and sound elements. The bed can be upholstered and tailored to individual clients needs and the company offer a full consultancy service to clients wishing to take the design to the ultimate level.
The company use sustainable materials where possible and the lighting is highly efficient low voltage technology, which makes the bed environmentally friendly as well as something of a style statement – a bit of a dream combination!

Miniature Marvel
From this month we’re pleased to be able to offer our customers the very latest Mirage Miniaturized 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker System.
Whether for music or movies, Mirage’s MX5.1 system is a miniature marvel.
Five tiny MX satellite speakers combine with the “pocket sized” MM-6 subwoofer to create a performance and soundstage on a scale that belies its diminutive dimensions.
The satellite speakers are an object lesson in the art of miniaturisation. A 16mm Hybrid Titanium Tweeter and 64mm Aluminium Cone Woofer are housed within a piano black cabinet, which is only 100mm high by 80mm wide: that’s smaller than a coffee cup! No surprise then that the MX satellite incorporates the smallest implementation of Mirage’s proprietary Omnipolar® tweeter technology. Omnipolar® creates an incredible 360 degree sound stage ensuring that sound is evenly distributed throughout the room.
While the critical high and mid frequency information is handled by the MX satellites, the ultra-compact MM-6 subwoofer extends the system’s dynamic range deep into bass frequencies. At only 200mm square the MM-6 is the smallest subwoofer Mirage has ever designed and yet housed within is high gloss rigidly braced enclosure are no fewer than three separate bass drivers.
An 800W amplifier powers a 165mm anodized aluminium long-throw bass driver which works in tandem with dual 165mm anodized aluminium passive radiators to deliver a tight and powerful bass response with low distortion.
The MM-6 subwoofer also includes a proprietary protection circuit, which allows clear bass at all volume levels. A low pass filter with bypass mode enables the subwoofer to blend perfectly with all MX speakers via an integral crossover or the LFE output of an AV receiver.
Offering numerous installation options, the diminutive MX 5.1 system will blend easily with space and décor all around your home.

Grand Opening Success
